Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Koinote you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please stop using the service.

What the Service Does

Koinote provides online Markdown writing, storage, export, and sharing.

• WYSIWYG Markdown editing with autosave
• Document and folder management
• Image upload and hosting
• Export to Markdown, HTML, PDF, DOCX, and formats adapted for WeChat, Zhihu, and X
• Read-only share links, optionally password-protected

Your Account

You are responsible for all activity under your account, including keeping your password and sessions secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.

• Do not register under someone else's identity
• Do not share your credentials
• Report security issues to us responsibly rather than exploiting them publicly

Your Content

The documents you write and the images you upload remain yours. We claim no ownership over them and will not use them for anything unrelated to running the service.

To operate the service we do need to store, transmit, and display that content as required — writing documents to the database, putting images in object storage, and showing them to visitors when you enable sharing.

Acceptable Use

The following may lead to suspension or termination.

• Uploading or sharing unlawful content, including infringing material
• Using the image store as general file distribution or image hotlinking
• Circumventing quotas through automation, or load-testing the service
• Attempting unauthorized access to other people's documents or share links

Share Links

Once sharing is enabled, anyone holding the link can preview the first half of the document without logging in. Registration or sign-in is required to read the full document. A password adds a second layer of protection; decide what is appropriate to share.

You can revoke sharing or rotate the link at any time; old links stop working immediately.

Availability

We aim to keep the service stable but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades, and third-party outages can all cause temporary downtime. Keep your own exported backup of anything important.

Lifetime Membership

“Lifetime” means a one-time, non-renewing, non-transferable membership for as long as both your account and the Koinote service continue to exist. It is not a promise that the service will operate forever.

Lifetime currently includes a fixed 10 GB cloud-storage allowance shared by documents and images; invitation bonuses are separate. The base allowance is not promised to increase automatically.

Future AI benefits mean member eligibility if and when relevant features launch. We do not promise a release date, feature set, model, or provider, and this does not mean unlimited free inference. Reasonable usage, cost-control, regional, model, or provider limits may apply and will be described when a feature launches.

Deleting your account immediately ends the membership. Account deletion does not itself trigger an automatic refund, without limiting statutory refund or consumer rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, fraud, security risk, or breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Documents first enter a 30-day trash. Related images are removed asynchronously only after permanent deletion or expiry, and only when no other document references them.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect losses, data loss, or lost profits arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the update date on this page; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
